More About Chintopia
Chintopia began as an idea: An escape from everyday life, back to the coast and the salt air, to an area more laid back, with less traffic and more character...a place of peace to unwind once more. Our journey began with the purchase of a sad little duplex with a wobbly deck barely off the canal, which connects to Oyster Creek. We remodeled the inside, gutting it to create a single family home, complete with a walk-in pantry, spacious kitchen, and an upstairs (this is a huge deal, trust us) laundry room. With two bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, and open common areas, we turned it into a real home. We let the professionals at Gulf Coast Piers and Bulkheads run wild to demolish the old deck and had them design and build The Kraken, a 1024 sqft deck situated higher than the levee, complete with two boat lifts/slips and lower decking for easy accessibility. Sunrises and sunsets are both equally stunning from the top!
